My Story

I grew up in The Bronx, New York City believing in, and experiencing first-hand, the power of sport to change lives, and the world.

That belief took me to educational institutions I would not have had access to otherwise, and around the world as a professional footballer, playing in countries, cultures, and environments that challenged me to grow both as an athlete and as a person. Along the way, I experienced the incredible opportunities the game can create - but I also saw and lived the inequities, inconsistencies, and lack of transparency that too many players navigate throughout their careers, that ultimately is a microcosm of society as a whole.

That realization ultimately led me and my amazing co-founders, Brianne Reed and Gabby Cuevas, to create The Players Network (TPN)—a player-led organization dedicated to making women's football more transparent, connected, and player-empowered. What began as conversations between players has grown into a global platform designed to give athletes the information, community, and support they deserve while helping move the entire game forward.

What I discovered is that my passion was never just playing the game.

It was helping build it, and change it for the better.

Those experiences shaped how I viewed leadership.

I realized that being a leader wasn't just about wearing an armband. Leadership meant asking difficult questions, organizing people around a shared purpose, and leaving every environment better than I found it. That commitment led me to coming home after an incredibly fulfilling career abroad, to Captain Brooklyn FC in its inaugural seasons of the USL Super League, and serve on the USL Players Association Board of Directors and Collective Bargaining Committee towards the shared goal of the league’s first CBA. Through both these endeavors, I had the privilege of helping advocate for players while learning firsthand how meaningful change is created systemically.

Today, my work and dreams sit at the intersection of football, leadership, athlete advocacy, entrepreneurship, governance, and systems change.

I advise organizations, speak on the future of women's football, consult on player-centered strategy, and continue building initiatives that challenge traditional ways of thinking about sport. Whether I'm working with players, clubs, leagues, unions, startups, or governing bodies, my goal is always the same: to help create environments where people can thrive, and to work towards a more equitable reality.

At my core, I'm a builder.

I believe that when we encounter systems that no longer serve people well, our responsibility isn't simply to criticize them—it's to imagine something better and have the courage to build it.

Everything I do is guided by my mission:

Leave women’s football, and the world, better than I found it.

If my career is remembered for anything, I hope it isn't just the teams I played for, or the titles I held. I hope it's for the communities I helped strengthen, the opportunities I created for others, and the change I made for the next generation of footballers on and off the field.

Because the future of the game isn't something we wait for.

It's something we build together.
